The Six Nations Iroquois Cultural Center, located in the Northeastern Adirondack Mountains on Franklin County Route 60, is reachable from State Route 86 coming from Saranac Lake or Paul Smiths. Coming from Plattsburgh follow Route 3 heading west approximately 35 miles to Route 60. Look for the Onchiota sign.

Hours Of Operation: July-August, 10AM-5PM, Tues.-Sun. (closed Mon.), open by appointment to groups during June, and September; admission.

Visitors are treated to a visual feast of Native American material supplemented with a series of lectures geared toward the situation, and needs of the audience. Pictographic stories are read, descriptions of contributions of Native Peoples to contemporary society are expressed, and the telling of the epic story of the formation of the Haudenosaunee form of participatory government occurs.
